Recital is fast approaching and a GREAT amount of information will be issued to you. To keep costs down, General rules from L2D and Cam-Plex rules are located on our website. Each dance year NEW recital information -Recital ticket sales, Dancer’s class day time and Song name, Technical and Dress rehearsals, Order of Show (posted for EACH show), Dancers required hair styles, correct tights and shoes per dance. All info will be post see RECITAL link and additional information with PDF
Tickets go on Sale to the PARENTS in May of each dance year. Info will be posted on UPCOMING EVENTS and RECITAL web link

Show Times /Ticket Costs: (tickets are non- transferable from one show to the next, each ticket is for date and seat purchased only)
Parent/Student will receive one ticket voucher per dancer to purchase recital tickets for that dancer's specific recital performance. For details see Recital Ticket PDF to Right on Recital link. Recital tickets can be purchased at Cam-Plex Box office on specific dates listed on document in person only with Voucher in hand. When recital tickets go on sale to public, parents may purchase more seats at that time by phone or online. Once show(s) are sold out no additional shows will be added, parents please get your tickets BEFORE public sales.

Live 2 Dance highlights our dancers in 4 different and unique shows held at the beautiful Cam-Plex Heritage Center. Please read all information to assure purchasing ticket(s) for correct day and time of your dancer’s performance.
Recital Performances

Friday Evening Show 7:00PM performance
Saturday Twilight Show 1:00PM performance
Saturday Evening Show 5:00PM performance
A dancer wanting to watch any part of the show must have a ticket (Cam-Plex policy). Dancers may watch only the Acts of the recital that they are NOT performing in (Ex: If your dancer is in Act 1, he/she may watch Act 2 only). No discount will be given for watching only part of the show. Dancers MAY NOT be in the audience watching an Act if they are performing in that Act. Please plan ahead and be prepared when purchasing your reserved Evening Show tickets. The Twilight Show consists of ONE Act with NO intermission; therefore students will not be allowed to sit in audience. Evening Show will consist of TWO (2) Acts ONE intermission.

The L2D Staff
Technical and Dress Rehearsal INFORMATION
All rehearsals are held at Cam-Plex Heritage Center. Dancers must enter thru backstage door during all Technical Rehearsals, as the Theater’s Main Lobby is locked during rehearsals. All dancers must be in costume for all rehearsals and full costume cover-up is required. Please see Technical Rehearsal schedule for rehearsal times. We will run through dances during that time and dancers will be dismissed after that session is completed.
Backstage parking: Parking lot adjacent to back stage door is for persons with parking passes only. Violators may be towed. Parking Passes will be issued to Cam-Plex Staff, L2D Teachers, L2D Assistants & L2D Stage Managers. Dancers and parents must use Heritage Center’s West Parking lot (main parking lot). Rehearsals will be held as follows:
Daytime (9:00AM-3:00PM) Technical rehearsals are for Teachers only. All Student Technical rehearsals will be scheduled after 3:30pm (See Technical rehearsal schedule PDF file under Recital link). Dancers’ arrival time is 30mins prior to rehearsal times. With the exception of those dancing at 4:00pm must arrive at 3:45pm due to school. Technical & Dress Rehearsals @ Cam-Plex Heritage Center. Thursday Tech and Dress rehearsal is mandatory in order to perform at the recital! NO videotaping is allowed. Recital video’s can be purchased thru Acentric Video. Order forms will be available at L2D information center or on our website. Evening Dress Rehearsal is a closed performance, only persons able to watch this closed rehearsal is L2D performers, volunteers and stage parents.

Twilight show dismissal of students: Parents will be asked to please stay seated in theater. Students will retrieve their belongings and return to stage. Classes will be dismissed by class; parents will come onto stage to get your child. Thank you for your FULL cooperation!
Assigned Girls dressing area: will be posted at Cam-Plex
Assigned Boys dressing area: dressing room Star dressing room downstairs on Left side.
A costume cover-up is required for all costumes that are worn in Heritage Center Theatre.
NO food or drinks are allowed in theatre. This includes sunflower seeds.
Twilight Show Recital informational meetings’ will be during dancers’ scheduled dance class. For detailed info please see recital PDF File.
Running an organized and professional show takes time, commitment and communication between L2D staff and parents. This meeting will be about ALL recital and parent expectations, parents’ presence is required. If you miss your child’s info meeting please call office to attend a different class time slot.

- Activities for dancers to keep occupied during recital,
- Volunteers helping in dressing room during recital,
- Arriving to all activities at scheduled time as to keep children and parents calm and not feel rushed,
- Twilight show dismissal of students to keep everyone organized and safe.
- Dancers must be in costume, hair, make-up, costume acc, shoes for informal dress rehearsal.
Every year during recital we ask for parents to volunteer. Volunteers are vital to keep costs down. Please sign up in lobby under volunteer areas. NEEDED Evening Show VOLUNTEERS to work Twilight Show, this will make it possible for parents to be able to watch their child as they have only ONE performance. This can work both ways Twilight show parents work an Evening show.
Volunteer’s job:
- Monitoring Hallways, stairwell and keeping dancers quite in route to and from stage.
- Monitoring doors, Dancers are not allowed to leave Cam-Plex as safety issue they must stay in dressing areas. Supervising and politely monitor dancers behavior
- Doorways -dancers entering and exit thru doorways only when dancers are on stage and lights and music are on.
Stage Parents job:
Help line up dancers for recitals and dress rehearsal;
- Lining dancers up procedure for recital: 1. Group in dressing area hallway; 2. Group in stairway; 3. Group backstage; 4. Group stage right wings; 5. Group on stage.
- From Stage dancers are directed or escorted to dressing areas from Stage Left
- Parents need to know if dancers enter from stage Right or stage Left.
Keep them occupied in the dressing rooms
Help gather belongings into large bags issued for Twilight Show performers
Changing costume(s) and Proper hair, tights, adequate make-up is correctly applied; shoes laces are tied, ballet laces are tucked into shoes. Make-up will be applied by parents before arriving at Cam-Plex
Keep area’s clear of food and drinks. Only foods or drinks that are non-staining to costumes are allowed in dressing areas. Monitoring this is important as costumes are irreplaceable.
A stage parent supplies – Bobbie pins, hair supplies, safety pins, tape, wipes, etc… a list to be issued see Michelle.

Attention Parents:
All costumes MUST have first and last name on each costume, accessories, shoes, and child’s property brought to event. After recital, costume items will be brought to studio for pick up first week after Recital. After this date items will discarded and/or brought to Emergency closet. Dancers and Parents, please be responsible for your own property!
FULL COSTUME includes correct tights, shoes, shoe ribbons, hats, gloves, AND all other accessories. Please have all final preparations such as: mending, sewing, altering, and cutting loose threads off of costumes. No underwear underneath any costumes. Hats, Caps, Hoods & Masks will be worn.
HAIR style info: Please see dance name on Order of Show for correct hair style required.

FACE MAKEUP Required for all ages. Make-up should be appropriate for their age groups. Make-up for stage is worn heavier or brighter to keep child’s face from being washed out. View YouTube link info posted on Recital Picture information PDF document

Tiny Tots, Kidz, Pre-JR, JR and Adult classes
Recital Make-up:
- Apply foundation that compliments the child’s skin over the entire face
- Apply black eyeliner on top of lid full length.
- Eyes shadows use brown tones… A light base color entire eye; then darker color in the crease and bottom lid –only if they are Teens for crease. NO BRIGHT colored eye shadows allowed for photos or recital as the neutral pallet enhances their face.
- Apply black mascara to top and bottom eye lashes
- False eyelashes needed for Teen SPC Co., SR SPC Co. classes. Teen 3-5 Level.
- Apply eye brow pencil or brown eyeliner pencil to slightly darken eye brows
- Apply Raspberry/Burgundy Blush on apple of cheek and blend upward to ear
- Lip liner- Bronze – Evening Show dancers only
- Lips- Bronz/Tan lipstick – Evening Show dancers;
- Lipstick for JR, Pre-JR, Kidz, Tiny Tots dancers please wear medium to soft pink tones only
